Riley Kennedy

My name’s Riley and I am a sophomore in the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences (CCAS). Let me just say that I’m super excited to be a peer advisor! I would tell you my major but it will probably be different by the time I meet you, so I would rather tell you about my interests: philosophy, political science, economics, and computer science. I come from a little beach town in California called Del Mar but the Vern was my home as a freshman, so I can tell you all about that life. I’m also a huge proponent of the hikes, rock climbing, and spelunking that the UHP offers. Here’s something that most people don’t know about me: I scratched my cornea shooting a stomp rocket at a door. It’s not important how, but I might tell you if you ask nicely.

p.s. I’ve discovered that it’s okay to enjoy your first year at college without joining a bunch of clubs or doing internships or volunteering—so my advice is to really give yourself time to relax or have fun!

Preferred advising topics: Transferring between schools (Elliott and CCAS), First year Honors courses, school-life balance, and killing spiders
