About Sydney:
Hi guys! My name is Sydney, and I am originally from Nashville, TN. I am a senior studying biomedical engineering with a minor in biophysics. My favorite thing about the UHP is that it gives me the opportunity to branch out from my science and engineering roots and take really interesting and challenging humanities courses. (And all the opportunities for free food don’t hurt either). On campus I am involved in a variety of activities including Alpha Omega Epsilon, the professional and social engineering sorority, and I also work as a tutor for the engineering school and a learning assistant. I am a person who really likes to keep very busy, so I do a lot of different activities/jobs. That being said, one of the most general pieces of advice I can give you about college is to try not to compare yourself and your college experience to others. Don’t feel like you need to make it look like someone else’s if that isn’t what makes you happy. Ultimately the only person you have to make happy is yourself.
